Bond Brook Tread Fest has grown to be one of the largest and best local events in Maine. Chris Riley and the crew from CeMeNEMBA put on quite a show. Saturday featured a 6 hour endurance event complete with fun races, a kids race, multiple food trucks, and a live band. For CMCC and Mathieu’s Cycle it’s a busy weekend. Mathieu’s Cycle is a huge supporter of this race, we field many racers, and provide neutral support for all racers that need a hand. Our set-up was right by the start finish line, and we were fortunate to get a lot of support from our vendors.
Specialized supplied event bags for all of the entries for the entire weekend. Paceline products gave all racers a sample of their chamois Butt’r, Clif pitched in with shot blocks for all, and Muc-Off put in a bunch of drivetrain and bike cleaners. Aubuchon Hardware supplied us with 2 big water coolers for racers to top off their bottles lap to lap and all day long.
The CMCC Team had riders in the 6 hour co-ed, (Casey Beaudoin & Husband Rich)
6 hour 2-man sport team (Jamie Dexter & Jerry Hart) Top 3 Podium! Jamie & Jerry also did the omnium which included racing the Time Trial and Enduro events on Sunday
6 hour solo Men (Dave Greeley)
Time Trial (Ian Wilson)
6 hour 3- person co-ed, (John Waller & Friends) Top 3 Podium!
Tread Fest is an incredible opportunity for anyone of any skill level to participate in a race environment. Endurance, Time Trial, Enduro, fun races, kids races, skills area, there was just so much to do! Many thanks to all of the help we got to support this great event! Kami Dexter, Leslie Wilson, Tom Dexter, Glenn & Laurie Fenlason, Angela Robinson and I’m sure a few that I missed.
Mark you calendars for the 2018 edition!
